The differences of the Gale jacket compared to the Guard jacket:

 - The Gale jacket has a 2-layer membrane fabric and a lining, while the Guard jacket has a 3-layer membrane fabric and no lining.

 - The Gale jacket has a slightly shorter back length than the Guard jacket because the Guard jacket was designed specifically for boat fishing.

 - Because the Gale jacket has a 2-layer membrane fabric, it is softer to the touch and more comfortable to wear.

 - The collar of the Gale jacket is lower as it is not designed for such harsh weather conditions compared to the Guard jacket.
