Tent Fjord Nansen TORDIS II PTB 2.0 is a two-person trekking tent with an external duralumin frame, two independent entrances, two vestibules and the manufacturer’s Double Comfort Space construction. The flysheet is Polyester Ripstop PU rated to 5000 mm H₂O, while the PU nylon floor is rated to 6000 mm H₂O. Total weight is 2600 g and packed size is 50 × 16 cm.
Main Product Advantage
The key feature is Fjord Nansen’s Double Comfort Space (DCS) frame geometry. According to the manufacturer, the specially contoured frame creates almost vertical side walls, increasing usable seated space and reducing the risk that taller sleepers touch the inner tent fabric. Fjord Nansen states that its measurements showed more than 3.5 times the usable seated area of a standard igloo-style tent.
Smart Construction
- External frame: the pole sleeves sit outside the flysheet, allowing the flysheet and inner tent to be pitched together so the sleeping compartment can remain protected during setup in rain.
- Two entrances and two vestibules: each sleeper has independent access and covered storage space.
- Improved ventilation: the manufacturer moved the ventilation point from above the entrance to the opposite side for more efficient airflow.
- Inner construction: roughly two-thirds PolyRipstop fabric with the remaining area in polyester mesh.

Practical Details
The inner tent includes practical pockets and attachment loops for items such as a headlamp or clothes line. Separate covers are supplied for the tent, frame and pegs. The tent can also be pitched using the flysheet alone.
