Critical Fire and Carbon Monoxide Safety

Use a wood stove only in a tent expressly approved by its manufacturer for stove use, with correctly installed flue, stove jack, heat shielding and clearances. Follow both tent and stove manuals, ensure adequate ventilation and use a functioning carbon monoxide alarm. Carbon monoxide is odorless and can be fatal; ventilation or an alarm does not make unsafe installation acceptable. Never leave a burning stove unattended or operate it while sleeping, and keep combustibles away. Do not use in an ordinary or unventilated tent.
