Ultralight two-person tent Fjord Nansen TORDIS II UL combines a 2,200 g weight with two independent entrances, two vestibules and a DCS construction that creates nearly vertical side walls. Its 20D Nylon Ripstop PU flysheet is rated to 3,000 mm H₂O, while the 70D Nylon 190T floor is rated to 6,000 mm H₂O.
More Usable Space in a Light Tent
Double Comfort Space (DCS) uses a profiled frame to give more usable room when sitting or lying down. The manufacturer retained a self-supporting 2Y duralumin construction while reducing weight with a lighter flysheet fabric. External poles allow flysheet-first pitching in rain to help protect the inner tent. Two vestibules, each 205 × 65 cm, provide separate gear space and access.
Ventilation and Practical Organization
- Breathable inner fabric and mesh support ventilation even with the flysheet closed.
- Interior pockets keep small equipment organized; a light hook and eyelets allow a cord to be hung inside.
- Quick assembly with an external ALU 7001 frame and 8.5 mm poles.
