Winter hiking socks Fjord Nansen NEW MOUNTAIN KEVLAR combine 41% merino wool with medium loft for warmth and moisture movement on autumn and winter mountain outings. Kevlar strengthens wear prone areas, while silver ion yarn supports odour control.
Warmth with Moisture Movement
Medium loft helps hold warmth while allowing moisture to move away. Merino Boost is softer and finer than conventional wool, according to the manufacturer; it retains warmth in cold conditions and helps regulate comfort in warmer conditions.
Durability and Odour Control
Kevlar Boost strengthens the heels and toes, the places most exposed to abrasion. Prolen® Siltex silver ion yarn forms the Stop Bacteria System, which the manufacturer says inhibits bacteria, fungi and mould and reduces unpleasant odours. The Anti Odor System also refers to fibres that limit the growth of odour causing bacteria.
