Merino Ski Socks Fjord Nansen SKI KEVLAR are high socks made for skiing, ski touring, skating and other cold-weather activities. The fabric combines 30% merino wool, 42% polypropylene, 12% Prolen Siltex, 12% elastane and 4% Kevlar.

Main Product Advantage

The construction combines natural merino insulation with synthetic moisture management and Kevlar reinforcement. Fjord Nansen describes the result as warm, quick-drying and effective at moving moisture away from the foot.

Materials and Technology

  • 30% merino wool: provides thermal insulation, breathability and natural antibacterial properties.
  • 42% polypropylene: synthetic fiber used in the moisture-management blend.
  • 12% Prolen Siltex: supports the Stop-Bacteria System using biogenic silver ions.
  • 12% elastane: helps the sock conform softly to the foot.
  • 4% Kevlar: adds reinforcement in areas exposed to wear.
  • Stop-Bacteria System: manufacturer states it inhibits bacteria, fungi and mold and helps reduce odor.
  • OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100: manufacturer states the socks meet this textile safety standard.
