Fjord Nansen states that selected sleeping bags from each collection were tested in a Weiss climate chamber using a complex 16-element DIANA dummy according to PN-EN 13537-2004. The resulting test data was then used to calculate the temperature ranges for the company’s sleeping bags.

According to the manufacturer, T comfort is the value women or people who feel cold easily should primarily consider. T limit is the lowest temperature at which a standard man can sleep comfortably and is the temperature Fjord Nansen uses in the product name. T extreme is a survival-risk value and should not be used as the buying target. Individual cold perception can vary with fatigue, hunger, health, age, metabolism and previous chilling.
