Sleeping Bag Fjord Nansen KJOLEN MID LEFT is a synthetic mummy sleeping bag for users up to 178 cm, filled with MICROfill Super-Therm insulation. It uses 210T Polyester Ripstop on the outside and Polyamide 190T inside. Fjord Nansen lists T comfort at 3°C, T limit at -2°C and T extreme at -6°C.

Main Product Advantage

KJOLEN MID combines a warm synthetic fill with a feature-rich sleep system: two-way zipper, thermal zipper tube, 3D hood, comfort-width cut, liner loops and the ability to connect to the corresponding right-zip version.

Materials and Insulation

The outer fabric uses 210T Polyester Ripstop. Fjord Nansen explains that the reinforced ripstop weave increases shell strength. The inner fabric is Polyamide 190T. MICROfill Super-Therm uses very fine fibers processed into a soft, lightweight insulation layer with high resilience.

Smart Construction

• Left two-way zipper: can open from the top or bottom for easier ventilation and access.

Temperature Information

Fjord Nansen states that the thermal performance was validated using results from nine sleeping-bag tests. Temperature ranges are presented according to EN 13537 terminology. The manufacturer recommends using T comfort as a key reference for women or people who feel cold easily, and T limit as the lower comfort reference for a standard man. T extreme is a survival-risk value and should not be used as the purchase target.

Manufacturer Durability Test

Fjord Nansen reports a 10-wash test of MICROfill Super-Therm to evaluate fill movement, washing resistance and thermal stability. According to the manufacturer, the insulation retained its technical parameters, thickness and elasticity.
