View full detailsSleeping bags for hiking, trekking, camping and travel, including lightweight down bags, synthetic models, winter sleeping bags and wider camping options. Choose by temperature range, insulation type, weight, packed size and shape.
Down is the better choice when low weight, compact packing and high warmth-to-weight matter most. Synthetic insulation is usually more forgiving in damp conditions and can be a practical choice for general camping and variable weather.
For cold-weather use, compare comfort temperature, insulation amount and sleeping-pad insulation together. A warmer sleeping bag alone cannot fully compensate for poor insulation from the ground.
Pair your sleeping bag with a suitable sleeping pad or camping mat and a shelter such as a tent. For hammock systems and minimalist shelters, see underquilts, quilts and bivy bags.
For backpacking, prioritize low weight and compact packing. For car camping, comfort and width can matter more. For winter or shoulder-season trips, focus on insulation, temperature rating and the complete sleep system rather than the sleeping bag alone.
Browse the wider Camping & Hiking hub for tents, sleeping systems, backpacks, footwear and outdoor equipment.
The collection includes more than 100 active sleeping bag models and variants, from lightweight down bags to colder-weather synthetic models. For low pack weight, compare Fjord Nansen SVALBARD 150 GOOSE XL (460 g, listed T limit 4°C). For colder conditions, examine NORDKAPP 500 XL 2.0 (listed T limit −5°C) and TRONDELAND XL (listed T limit −10°C). Compare manufacturer comfort temperature, T limit, weight and insulation before deciding: T limit is not the same as comfort temperature.
