Inflatable camping mattress Fjord Nansen TREKKER CAMPING 2.0 Grade II is a 195 × 65 × 7 cm graphite mat with a nominal R value of 2.6 and a listed weight of 790 g. This is a discounted second grade item: the manufacturer states it may have torn internal ALU film or a peeling anti slip overlay, and these specified defects are excluded from its standard warranty.

Grade II Condition and Warranty

According to Fjord Nansen, the possible torn ALU film inside the mattress and peeling surface sticker or overlay do not affect comfort and safety in use. The standard warranty excludes these particular known defects. Their presence should be considered before purchase, especially as the insulation design uses that ALU film.

Insulation Design

Alu Boost divides air chambers horizontally with ALU film to limit mixing of cold ground air and warmed air and reflect some radiant heat. The Hex Chamber System uses smaller hexagonal chambers and spot welds to limit air movement and heat transfer. The spaces between chambers let the sleeping bag insulation expand instead of being compressed.

Non Slip and Inflation Details

The Stedy Sleep System has textured grip on one side: face it upward to limit sleeping bag movement or downward to limit mat movement on a tent floor or in a hammock. A two stage valve supports inflation and rapid deflation. The separately sold PUMP SACK is described as inflating the mattress in about three or four bagfuls.

Materials and Included Items

The manufacturer specifies 40D ripstop nylon with a 0.08 mm TPU layer; it describes the nylon as lighter, more durable and quieter than its earlier polyester. The mat includes a storage sack and repair kit with glue, two patches and instructions. The pump sack is sold separately.
