Features and practical use
- The BMS provides balancing and protection against excessive current, temperature, short circuit and over/undervoltage.
- The low weight makes it useful where a compact dedicated starter installation is required.
- A compatible 3A charger takes approximately 4–5 hours, depending on initial charge.
Compatibility and installation
Use a charger with the correct chemistry, charging voltage and connector. A nominal “12V” or “24V” label alone does not establish charger compatibility.
Install suitable circuit protection and cable sizes for the connected load. Charge within the specified temperature range and protect terminals from short circuits.
The supplier lists use with suitable outboards up to 250 hp; horsepower alone is not sufficient for compatibility. Match required cranking current, alternator voltage/current and engine guidance.
The 150A figure is a time-limited rating, not an indefinite continuous load.
