Features and practical use
- Wide and Narrow CHIRP modes let you prioritise search coverage or more focused target detail.
- MEGA Side Imaging searches both sides of the boat; MEGA Down Imaging concentrates on structure beneath the hull.
- AutoChart Live creates contours as you travel. An optional AutoChart Zero Line card extends recording capacity.
- Supports compatible LakeMaster, CoastMaster and Navionics charts, including supported Platinum+ content.
Compatibility and installation
The built-in Humminbird Basemap covers US lakes/coasts. Regional European charts are optional and must be selected for this unit.
This G4 model is not the G4N network model: NMEA 2000, the Ethernet switch, MEGA Live, 360 Imaging, radar, i-Pilot Link and Talon integration are not supported.
AIS, autopilot and external heading/GPS compatibility depend on the appropriate accessories and interfaces.
Depth and imaging coverage are manufacturer ratings, affected by water conditions, bottom type, installation and settings; the optional 50 kHz depth rating requires an additional transducer.
