Kayak Rudder System NuCanoe QC Rudder System Foot Steer is a QuickConnect rudder kit designed for precise position control and excellent straight-line tracking when paddling or using a bow mount motor. The system uses foot steering, allowing fully hands-free control from the kayak seat. The QC Rudder Blade includes a kick-up release to ride through obstacles and can be fully retracted out of the water from the seat position. This kayak steering system is built for NuCanoe U10, ULTD, and UMAX compatibility through the included QC Transom Assembly and Foot Steer Assembly.

When shallow water, weeds, or underwater obstacles appear, the kick-up rudder blade helps the system ride through contact instead of acting like a submarine anchor with commitment issues. During long paddling sessions, foot steering keeps both hands available for paddle control, rod handling, or bow mount motor use. The retract cord and handle are useful when approaching shore, launching, landing, or crossing areas where the rudder should be lifted out of the water.
