Liferaft Equipment

Liferaft Equipment: Adjustable Cradles and Mounting Hardware

This collection currently contains an ACTIVE Crewsaver 96650000 adjustable liferaft cradle for securing compatible container liferafts on boats. It is mounting equipment, not a liferaft or an inflation system.

Crewsaver 96650000: what to check

• Construction: the supplier describes a 316 stainless-steel adjustable frame with a nylon-coated 50 mm stainless-steel retaining belt and latch.
• Mounting: described for vertical or horizontal deck fitting or pushpit mounting; supplied with four mounting brackets.
• Container fit: the product lists compatibility with many 4–12-person container liferafts, but this is not universal compatibility. Measure the actual container and verify the manufacturer's allowed installation arrangement.

Installation and safety

Before buying or installing, verify container dimensions, available mounting space, deck or rail suitability, fasteners, accessibility and launch/release arrangements using the liferaft and cradle manufacturers' current instructions. Do not assume the mounting hardware or retaining strap alone satisfies vessel-specific safety requirements. Professional marine installation is appropriate where compatibility or load-bearing details are uncertain.

Details are taken from the ACTIVE Shopify product description, not an independent installation test. For broader boating needs, see kayaks and boat equipment and life jackets and buoyancy vests.
